Biography

Alice Powell is a London based freelance film and TV editor with over ten years of professional experience. Since graduating from the National Film and Television School in 2007 she has acquired experience in both documentary and fiction films that have been screened at various film festivals internationally, including the Sheffield International Documentary Film Festival, the Berlin International Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Festival. She has also gained valuable experience editing broadcast television programmes and commercials. Recent credits include “99” Documentary (Director Sampson Collins) Production Company "Ventureland for Amazon Prime". “YOUR FAT FRIEND” (Director Jeanie Finlay) Production company" Filed of Vision, Doc Society and Glimmer Films". Screened at Tribeca, Sheffield Dockets, DCI Docs, Edinburgh Film Festival and St Louis. “HEART OF THE INVICTUS” (Director Orlando Von Einsiedel) for Netflix. “SOMETHING FAMILIAR” Directed by Rachel Close and produced by Monica Lazurean-Gorgan and Elena Martin for Romania’s Manifest Film with Aleksandra Bilic for the UK’s My Accomplice, co-produced by Dermot O’Dempsey of Shudder Films. Premiered at CPH:DOX and it was in the international competition there. At the moment she is collaborating once again with (Director Orlando Von Einsiedel) and editing his lates feature documentary that is still under wraps and yet to be announced. Alice’s emphasis as a film editor is to collaborate with producers and directors to tell stories with integrity and a delicate human touch.
