Biography

Annette Remler is an internationally experienced DoP having photographed numerous dramas, commercials and fashion films, as well as doc work around the globe. With a few nominations under her belt, she recently picked up the award for Best Cinematography for ‘X-Anniversary’ at Shore to Shore Film Fest, while her feature film ‘Ruby’ won Best Drama at the Berlin Independent Film Festival. Born in Germany, she studied Media Production before training at the London International Film School. Annette was sponsored by the European Union to attend the prestigious Budapest Cinematography Masterclass under the guidance of the late Vilmos Zsigmond ASC. Having choreographed and trained in modern dance in her past, Annette has developed a unique feel for movement and balanced compositions. She is intrigued by visually creative aesthetics that aim to inspire. Her cinematography consists of a bold use of color and atmospheric lighting with visuals carrying the story at heart.
