Biography

Taina Galis is director of photography and has filmed many critically acclaimed films. Taina sustains narrative visually through her sensitivity to tone and performance. Tenacious and empathetic, she loves to go with directors into the unknown. Nominated for the inaugural Jules Wright Prize of Best Female Technician, part of the Jarman Award. LSFF retrospective of Taina’s work with Fyzal Boulifa at the ICA : “WHORES AND HEROINES”. Taina had a sculpture exhibited at the National Gallery, London and is a winner of the London International Creative Competition. Credits include feature film “LYNN + LUCY” (Directed by Fyzal Boulifa) Rosetta Films, BBC Films, BFI, Charades, VIXENS. Taina was the director of photography, she Co-Edited the film and she was the story consultant. Holding British / Romanian passports and US 02 Visa, Taina is available for work worldwide.
