Biography
Teddy is a London born and based costume designer who has accomplished a diverse costume portfolio spanning film, series and fashion. Having graduated in 2008 with a BA Hons in Fashion illustration from UCA, Teddy began his career at the prestigious fashion magazine Dazed and Confused as the assistant to Fashion Director Cathy Edwards. In 2010 Teddy began his costume career through a chance meeting with the famous film director Guy Ritchie and was given a costume assistant role on the iconic Warner Brothers production Sherlock Holmes. Teddy’s career has blossomed in this time having worked under Oscar winning Costume designers Colleen Atwood and Jenny Bevan to becoming a HOD freelance costume designer today. Teddy maintains commercial and fashion work outside of filming having built strong relationships with productions companies Smuggler, Somesuch, Gorgeous and Sony Music. He is known for his ability to seamlessly blend moving image with the art of costume history and fashion. Teddy maintains a philosophy of unity, peace, equality and creativity whilst working with others and approaches his work as a form of expression and disciplined practice. Recent Costume Designer credits include a feature film/art Instillation piece for the Tate Britain “NURSES COME AND GO BUT NONE FOR ME” (Directed by Artist/Filmmakers Ed Atkins and Steven Zultanski) produced by Pinky Ghundale. It was commissioned by Hartwig Art Foundation. Short film “DREAM CAR WASH”(Writer and Director Edoardo Brighenti) Produced by Fozia O’Dowd and Disruptive Element Films. Feature Film “LOVE LANRE” (Directed by Stephané Alexandre). Teddy is currently working with Costume Designer Sinéad Kidao in the wardrobe department for (director Sam Mendes) on his upcoming four-part series of Biopics about The Beatles Produced by Pippa Harris, Alexandra Derbyshire and Julie Pastor for Apple Corps and Sony.
